Central Oregon is home to the cities of Bend, Redmond, Sisters, La Pine, Prineville, Madras, and the resort community of Sunriver. In Central Oregon, you will find some of the finest outdoor adventure with places for paddling, hiking, cycling, golfing, and dining al fresco in the summer. In winter, areas of the High Desert turn into a snowy playground with skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and ice skating. Whatever the season, Central Oregon is home to some of the country's top craft breweries, unique boutiques, and world-class restaurants.
The University of Oregon saw an educational opportunity by first establishing a satellite campus at Central Oregon Community College (COCC) in 2001, where it offered undergraduate programs until 2012, at which point the focus shifted from undergraduate studies to professional development and graduate programs.
As higher education in Central Oregon continues to evolve, the University of Oregon is committed to being a continual presence this side of the Cascade Mountains. We partner with several UO programs targeted to specific needs of this unique community.
UO Central Oregon communicates university resources to the broader Central Oregon community, offers graduate and lifelong learning academic programs, and creates partnerships between campus and local alumni, donors, friends, and supporters.
